We acquired Sir Lawrence of Stewart from
Black Forest Alpacas at the 2009 GWAS show. We had been searching
for just the right herdsire to compliment our females. Sir
Lawrence brings to the farm incredible density and fineness. His
2008 histogram reveals an
incredible Mean Fiber Diameter of 17.1 microns, SD of 4.6 and a comfort
factor of 98.8%...WOW! It's no wonder he brought home a blue
ribbon at this level V show. His grandsire is the famous Presidio
(son of Caligula). His dam, Snowmass Highland Bell, is a Peruvian
Snowmaster daughter. Check out his
ARI certificate. The initial breeding fee for Sir Lawrence is
being set at $1,000 with a 25% discount for multiple contracted
breedings. Other discounts may apply. Just give us a call. He should be ready
Spring 2010.

BF's Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
To add
breeding variety and at the same time concentrate on characteristics
important to the continued improvement of our herd, we added BF's
Captain Morgan Spiced Rum to the herdsire lineup. Morgan is a
compact male with great density and staple length. He is a
very handsome medium fawn male. Take a look at his
lineage!
Morgan's initial
breeding fee is being set at $750 until he has cria on the ground.

We are putting a couple of yearling males on the junior
herdsire watch list. These guys show promise. We will let
them continue to mature to see how they might enhance our herd.
Junior Herdsire Watch List
Sierra's Prince Caspian
Caspian is absolutely gorgeous.
At birth he looked to be a dark fawn color. As he matured the
incredible rose gray coloring took over. Wow! He is a medium
sized boy and very consistent in coloring. As a breeding male he
would add a whole new option to our breeding program. At first
shearing he showed an incredible staple length. With the cria
fleece gone we are anxious to see how his adult fleece comes in.

Magnum's Peruvian Rudy
What can we say about
this boy? He is adorable and has fleece that is crimpy, crimpy,
crimpy. Rudy still has some growing to do but shows tremendous
promise. He has done well in the two halter shows he has been in
thus far, garnering 4th place ribbons in both. He was the youngest
in his class at 09 Fall Fest among some very stiff competition.
Besides his wonderful density and crimp the judge commented on his
gorgeous head...very typey. We are watching this boy grow but
fully expect him to make the herdsire cut.
